EKTA er et dansk designbrand med benene solidt placeret i den nordiske designtradition.

Vi skaber design med lang levetid, baseret på naturlige materialer og enkelt tidsløst design - det er vores definition på æstetisk bæredygtighed. Vores vision er at hvert design skal kunne mere end man umiddelbart forventer. Vores produkter skal have en funktion, og ikke kun være til pynt.

Vi har altid været drevet af inspiration fra hele verden - især naturen. Derfor ligger det os også meget på sinde at passe på den klode og de mennesker, der bor på den.

A word about our designers

Truly beautiful designs deserve to be made by hand, not a machine, and we are honoured to have skilled craftsmen creating each piece and responding to the uniqueness of the leather, wood or brass they have selected. In this way, we are able to shine a light on the artistry of our craft. EKTA Living also takes great care in selecting the incredible team of artists and designers who collaborate on our collection, and we are proud to give them a platform to share their extraordinary pieces. Designers are chosen based on their talent and exceptional craftsmanship but, most importantly, their alignment with the essence of the EKTA brand.

Signe and Sune Wirth Engelund

The design of our products is timeless, as we do not want them to go out of style and be replaced by the next big thing. Instead, we want people to take good care of their things and maintain them, to make them last longer.

David Krynauw

One of South Africa’s leading creative designers, Krynauw’s work is synonymous with a passion for pushing the boundaries of design in every piece he creates.

Knud Holscher

One of the most influential designers in Scandinavia. Holscher worked as a partner in the office of Arne Jacobsen as associate architect for the realisation of St. Catherine’s College, University of Oxford.

Wei-Lun Tseng

Wei-Lun Tseng’s creativity is inspired by the desire to produce well-designed, high quality and beautiful décor items that people will enjoy having in their homes and in their lives.

John Vogel

John Vogel is an internationally acclaimed designer who creates contemporary furniture with an emphasis on organic, natural form. Vogel is inspired by nature and places a firm emphasis on social and environmental responsibility.

Jacob Lykke

Jacob is a firm believer in the principle of timeless design as this challenges him to create pieces with the quality and sense of style that will allow each item to find a home in any decor setting.

Timothy Jacob Jensen Studios

Timothy Jacob Jensen kom til Bang & Olufsens team af chefdesignere i en alder af 17 år. Som 24-årig blev hans første design blev optaget i designsamlingen på Museum of Modern Art i New York.

Trine Find

EKTA Living har overtaget salg og udvikling af Trine Finds populære Filigrantræ. Trine Find fik oprindeligt ideen til det enkle juletræ for mange år siden, da hun besluttede sig for at lave en adventskalender til sine børn. Det gik hurtigt op for hende, at det innovative og bæredygtige nordiske design skabte en ny mulighed for at forlænge julen. Designets funktionalitet og enkelhed var derfor en oplagt tilføjelse til EKTA Livings øvrige kollektioner.
